Rector Search
In February 2025, the Rev. Linda Young retired after almost 9 years as rector of St. James, Pullman. In April 2025, the Rev. Rachel Endicott became interim priest-in-charge of St. James. We are now searching for a rector to lead our parish into the future.

The Parish Profile Committee is scheduled to meet with Susan Cleveley on August 28 to discuss next steps in developing the profile document for St. James. Susan is Transition Minister for the Diocese of Spokane. The committee anticipates holding several gatherings--both in-person and online--to gather input from the people of St. James of what we seek in a new Rector.
In addition, we anticipate we will be distributing the Congregation Assessment Tool (CAT) survey, which will help to describe what St. James looks like now in terms of energy and satisfaction--and where we would like to be in the future.

The Profile Committee - Beth Burns, Mary Flores, Gretchen O'Connor, and Travis Ridout - and Chaplain Stephan Flores met via Zoom on Tuesday, July 29. The Chaplain began the meeting with prayer. Travis Ridout has agreed to serve as committee Chair and Mary Flores will take the minutes. Gretchen O'Connor is the Vestry liaison. The committee's first action will be to meet with Susan Cleveley, our consultant for the Calling Process. After that meeting, we will plan for the administration of the required Church Assessment Tool (survey developed by Holy Cow! Consulting), in order to begin the process of gathering information about our congregation. The committee spent time reviewing our charge, reviewing previous Parish Profiles (2002, 2015) and brainstorming ideas for both gathering and disseminating information from and to the congregation.
